Privacy policy
Last updated : 8 October 2026
This site collects the bare minimum. No cookies, no audience analytics, no tracking pixels. The only personal information that reaches me is what you choose to write in the contact form.
Person responsible for the protection of personal information
Wissam Taki, real estate broker, acts as the person responsible for the protection of personal information collected through this site, within the meaning of the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec), as amended by Law 25.
Any question, access request or complaint about your personal information can be sent to me directly:
- Wissam Taki, Real estate broker
- info@wissamtaki.com
- 514.444.5545
- 1620 Bd de l’Avenir, Laval, QC H7S 2N4
What is collected
Only what you enter yourself in the contact form:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number
- the project type you select
- the message you write, if you write one: that field is optional
A hidden field is used to detect automated submissions. It is invisible to you and stays empty when a human fills in the form: only bots complete it. No personal data passes through it.
My host also keeps technical logs (IP address, browser type, time of visit) for a short period, for security and abuse prevention. I do not have individual access to them and I do not use them to identify you.
Why
Your information serves one purpose: replying to you and following up on the real estate project you tell me about.
I do not sell, rent or trade your information with anyone. I do not use it to send you newsletters or advertising, and I do not add it to any mailing list.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
There are none. This site uses no cookies, no Google Analytics or equivalent measurement tool, no advertising pixel, no social media share button and no third-party script of any kind.
That is why you will not see a cookie consent banner: there is nothing to consent to. Nothing is stored on your device and your browsing is not tracked from one page to the next.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to Centris, to Google Maps or to the RE/MAX Québec website. These are links, not embedded content: nothing loads from those sites unless you click, and your visit here is not reported to them.
Property photos are downloaded from Centris when the site is generated, then served from my own domain. Your browser therefore never contacts Centris to display them.
As soon as you follow an external link, the privacy policy of the site you reach applies instead of this one.
Who else has access, and where the data is processed
Two providers are involved in running the site:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and keeps the technical logs mentioned above
- Resend, which delivers the contents of the form you send to my email inbox
Both companies are established outside Quebec, so your information may be processed or stored outside the province, including in the United States. Law 25 requires me to tell you this. They use your information only to provide the service requested.
If your enquiry leads to a brokerage contract, the information needed for the transaction is then handled as part of my practice as a broker, governed by the Organisme d'autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) and by my agency.
How long I keep it
As long as needed to answer your enquiry and follow up on it, and at most twenty-four months after our last exchange, after which the message is deleted.
If a brokerage contract is signed, the records relating to the transaction are kept longer, for the periods every broker is required to observe under the applicable regulations.
Your rights
Quebec law gives you, regarding the information I hold about you, the right:
- to request access to it and obtain a copy
- to have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous
- to withdraw your consent and ask for it to be deleted
- to file a complaint if you believe your rights have not been respected
Write to me and I will reply within thirty days, free of charge. I may need to verify your identity before acting, so that your information is never disclosed to anyone else.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only, which encrypts what you send between your browser and the server. Access to my email inbox is protected, and the information you send me is kept only where it is needed.
No system is infallible. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, the law requires me to notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned, and that is what I would do.
Making a complaint
Write to me first: most situations are resolved directly and quickly.
If my answer does not satisfy you, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, which oversees the application of the law, at cai.gouv.qc.ca.
